Stay on top of your tasks with reliable reminders
If you’ve noticed that reminders in the Reminders view are no longer sending notifications, it’s usually a quick settings fix. WeekCal displays and manages reminders from your device’s built-in Apple Reminders system. If notifications are turned off or the app hasn’t been activated, you may not receive alerts for your reminders.
Follow these simple steps to get your notifications working again.
Open the Apple Reminders App
If you haven’t opened the Reminders app recently, open it once to activate it.
This ensures that reminders are properly linked to your device and ready to send notifications.
- Locate the Reminders app on your Home Screen (or search for it using Spotlight.
- Open the app.
- You don’t need to create or edit any reminders there. Simply opening it is enough.
Check Notification Settings
Next, make sure notifications are enabled for Reminders.
- Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap Notifications → Reminders.
- Turn Allow Notifications ON.
- Choose where alerts should appear:
- Lock Screen
- Notification Center
- Banners
- (Optional) Turn on Sounds and Badges for extra visibility.
Test a Reminder in WeekCal
- Open WeekCal.
- Go to Views > Reminders.
- Create a new reminder with a due time.
- Wait for the scheduled time to confirm that you receive the notification.
Once you’ve completed these steps, your reminders should start notifying you again.
If you’re still not receiving alerts, please contact our support team through the app settings. We’ll be happy to help you troubleshoot further.
