If your Apple device is connected to iCloud, your calendar is automatically saved to iCloud. Devices not connected to iCloud will have calendars stored locally in the device's storage.
How to create a new local calendar
- Open your device's native Apple Calendar. Tap the Calendars button.
- Tap Add Calendar.
- Fill in:
- Calendar Name
- Account - will be set to iCloud or On My Phone
- Color to represent the calendar
- Tap Done to finish.
- The new calendar will have been added to the list of iCloud or On My Phone calendars.
- The new calendar will appear in WeekCal, however, it will need to be activated in WeekCal's Calendars & Reminders screen.
- Tap the name of the new calendar under iCloud or Local calendars in the list to activate it. A check will appear to confirm that it has been added. Tap the (i) to edit the calendar.
NOTE: This action cannot be completed from within WeekCal. This action can only be completed from within the native Apple Calendar app on your device. |
How to delete a local calendar
To delete a local calendar from the iOS Calendar app, follow these steps:
- Open the Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap on "Calendars" at the bottom of the screen.
- Find the local calendar you wish to delete.
- Scroll to the bottom of the calendar's details and tap on “Delete Calendar” to remove it from your list of calendars.
