Time Zone Settings iOS

If your Time Zone is changing unintentionally please disable Time Zone Support,
if you want to be able to change the Time Zone, for example if you're a frequent traveler, just enable it.

App uses it's own time zone settings, independent of first settings mentioned here just below.

Please be aware there are two different Time Zones in your iOS device Settings

  1. iOS Device Settings > Calendar (or Mail, Contacts, Calendars in iOS9 and below) > Time Zone Override
  2. iOS Device Settings > General > Date & Time

Although app only uses the second one we recommend to keep them the same to avoid confusion.

Disable Time Zone Support

In the app

  1. Tap the Settings (Gears) icon
  2. Go into the Calendar entry
  3. Tap Time Zone Support
  4. Switch OFF Time Zone Support

Example

  • You create an event in your home time zone London (which is GMT) at 12:00h
  • You travel to New York where time zone is equal to GMT-6 in the winter
  • Your device time will 6 hours earlier now
  • As a result your event will be shown at 6:00h in NY time

Enable Time Zone Support

In the app

  1. Tap the Settings (Gears) icon
  2. Go into the Calendar entry
  3. Tap Time Zone Support
  4. Switch ON Time Zone Support and ensure settings are equal to the system settings of your device as described above

Example

  • You create an event in your home time zone London (which is GMT) at 12:00h
  • You travel to New York where time zone is equal to GMT-6 in the winter
  • Your device time will 6 hours earlier now
  • Because you fixed your calendar to display events in London time zone your event will still be at 12:00h
